Ephesians 2:8,9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith: and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
1 Pe.18,19 "ye are not redeemed by corruptible things such as silver & gold...but with the precious blood of Christ"
Romans 10:9 " That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved"
Colossians 1:18 "... that in all things He (Christ) might have the preeminence."

We are a fundamental gathering of the Lord's people, who desire to honor the Lord by meeting in Christ's name alone (un-denominational) & seeking to spread the soul saving gospel to a lost & dying world.
This local assembly of believers was pioneered from a bible study in the Ramseur area in the late 1940's & early 1950's. The gospel penetrated the hearts of a particular family in the area @ that time. Now the assembly has families in fellowship that live around the east side of Randolph County, as well as a couple of nearby counties. By the early 1950's there began to be a regular gathering "upon the first day of the week" (1 Cor.16:1,2; Acts 20:7) assembling together to "steadfastly teach the Word, break bread, fellowship & pray" (Acts 2:42). While recognizing Christ as the risen head of the universal Church (Eph.1:20-23), the local elders / pastors (Acts 14:23; Phili.1:1) of the assembly seek to teach the Word of God expository, that is book by book & verse by verse. Seeking to "rightly divide the Word of truth" (2 Tim.2:15) by making distinctions that God makes, such as the differences between the nation of Israel & the Church, thus seeking to be faithful to the context of scripture. In addition to the regular weekly meetings we have a monthly bible study on Sat. mornings, Sept.-April, called "Back to the Book", that is intended to take an in depth look at a given book or subject of the bible. There are four sessions ending with a fine lunch prepared by the sisters around 12:30pm. We often have Christians visiting from upwards of an hour away of various ages. In addition to our local elders teaching these classes we often invite gifted teachers from other states or sometimes other countries. Once in the spring & also in the fall we have a conference with one of these invited speakers Sun. thru Wed. meetings. We warmly invite you to contact us for more information. (see contact page)
